NORTON, Kan. — The Beloit High School Trojan volleyball team delivered a dominant performance today, sweeping through the competition to capture the championship at the Norton Invitational tournament.
The Trojans controlled the court from start to finish, refusing to drop a single set across all five of their tournament matches.
Beloit set an aggressive tone early, kicking off the day with a decisive victory over Ulysses (25-15, 25-12). They built on that momentum in their second matchup, overwhelming Colby with a commanding 25-14, 25-7 win.
The Trojans faced their toughest challenge of the day against host team Norton. After grinding out a hard-fought first set, Beloit pulled away in the second to seal the match (25-23, 25-11). Keeping their foot on the gas, they maintained their sharp play against Ellsworth, taking the match in straight sets (25-19, 25-14).
Beloit saved their most dominant performance for last, rolling past Otis-Bison in convincing fashion (25-8, 25-9) to complete the undefeated, set-less tournament sweep and claim the championship.
