CONCORDIA, Kan. — The Beloit Cross Country team delivered a standout performance at the Concordia Meet on Thursday, Sept. 3, bringing home 12 top-10 medals across high school and junior high divisions and taking second place in the high school boys’ team standings.
Out of 16 Beloit athletes competing, 12 earned top-10 finishes, led by a dominant individual championship performance from Aspen Forrest-Ortiz in the junior high boys’ race.
Junior High Highlights: Forrest-Ortiz Claims First Place
Aspen Forrest-Ortiz captured the highlight of the day for Beloit, crossing the finish line in 13:27 to win the Junior High Boys 2-mile race. His championship run led a powerful showing for the junior high squad, which placed four runners inside the top 10.

In high school action, the Beloit boys secured a second-place overall team finish in the 5K, backed by three top-10 individual performances. Gavin Wright paced the Beloit high school boys with a time of 19:35 to earn third place.
